On Saturday, 6th December, Homobloc returns to the iconic Depot Mayfield for its sixth edition. Evolving from its previous incarnations, the legendary all-inclusive block party will once again unite artists, performers, spectators, and clubbers in a space where freedom and self-expression rule the dancefloor – featuring their most exciting and diverse line-up yet.

2025 has been another monumental year for the team at Homobloc, from hosting a series of one-off events with the likes of Romy and Princess Superstar, to closing Manchester International Music Festival and more recently making its Ibiza debut at the legendary Amnesia. Renowned for its spectacular live acts, DJs and performers, the flagship event at Depot Mayfield is set to build on the success of the year so far.

This winter, UK pop royalty Sugababes will lead the Homobloc proceedings. Fresh from their UK and European tour, the genre-defying trio are riding high, following the success of recent releases like ‘Jungle’ and ‘Weeds’. Joining them are Homobloc favourites Honey Dijon and The Blessed Madonna, alongside Berlin-based techno powerhouse and creative director Patrick Mason, the iconic Ana Matronic of Scissor Sisters fame, and a rare DJ set from Gossip’s magnetic frontwoman, Beth Ditto.

American singer, songwriter, and rapper Slayyyter (aka Catherine Grace Garner) will bring her bold, genre-blurring sound to the Homobloc stage, joined by a special b2b DJ set from Canadian electroclash icon Peaches and electronic tastemaker Erol Alkan. The night will also feature a live performance from acclaimed dance music project Hercules & Love Affair, as well as a set from Grammy Award-winning house legend Todd Edwards. Further DJ sets include Sally C b2b I.Jordan, Roi Perez, Eliza Rose, Joshua James, Fat Tony, Grace Sands, and Manchester’s  Aiden Francis, Gina Breeze and Kim Lana.

Showcasing next-level production and performances, Homobloc takes over the full expanse of Depot Mayfield including the three main stages (Depot, Concourse, Archive), plus additional stages across Plant Room, the historical Star & Garter Pub and the Loft – a unique space up on the rooftop of Depot Mayfield. As part of their 10th anniversary celebrations, PXSSY PALACE will transform The Plant Room with an electrifying takeover, showcasing a handpicked lineup of long-standing collaborators and trailblazers. The night features London ballroom pioneer Jay Jay Revlon, US powerhouse DJ and producer UNIIQU3, and viral multi-genre artist Che3kz. Adding to the energy, PXSSY PALACE’s own Nadine Noor, Mya Mehmi, and Ryan Lovell will bring their signature blend of sound, style, and community spirit, turning the dance floor into a space of pure celebration, sweat, and connection.

Like in previous years, Homobloc’s billing features an array of exceptional new and emerging underground queer artists. The legendary Star & Garter Pub will welcome Berlin-based Only Fire for his debut show in Manchester. Blending raw club energy with high-gloss aesthetics, his music delivers a Siri-esque robo-voice dripping with sexual overtones. Known for their pop-up parties in unique locations across Manchester, dyke party Butch Revival will bring their northern lesbian energy to the pub, alongside Islington Mill’s trans-centered community pop club nightlife collective T4T. Manchester-based trans artist Jasmine.4.t has had an incredible year, with a debut album produced by boygenius on the rise and sold out dates on their UK tour in Manchester and Cardiff. Jasmine.4.t will bring a special DJ set to the Star & Garter Pub this December to celebrate the beautiful journey and year she’s had.

Homobloc’s programming is a collaborative effort, shaped by contributions from queer collectives in Manchester and beyond. Like in previous iterations, a vibrant line-up of performers and dancers will bring unparalleled energy to every corner of the festival. Over in Depot Mayfield’s intimate Archive space, South Asian, Middle Eastern and North African queer brown collective House Of Spice will bring their unique flavour alongside Manchester’s Desi LGBTQ+ collective Club Zindagi, Homobloc favourites Ghetto Fabulous and Line Dancing classes from Red Rodeo Club. Also under the arches, find spectacular live performances from Berlin-based produce Sarah Sommers, singer Babymorocco and electronic artist and activist BASHKKA – a DJ breathing fresh air into the scene with everything she sets her mind to.

Homobloc is a party with purpose and since 2021 has raised £137,399 for vital LGBTQ+ charities.

Rod Connolly, Promoter from Homobloc, comments: “We can’t wait for people to dive into our 2025 lineup of queer excellence, proudly merging global and local artists, returning friends, and scratching the underbelly of the scene to showcase the rawest talent from the queer underground. In a time of rising division, events like Homobloc matter more than ever. We deserve a space for our community and allies to come together and hold each other up on a dancefloor full of love and resistance. We are the beings the bastards can’t grind down and we invite everyone to join us to shake off the bullshit, recharge, realign and carry our queer power back out onto the streets of Manchester.”

Sophie Bee, Homobloc Creative Director, comments: “The team are super excited to be back. We’ve got some unreal collaborations booked in for this year, from Jodie Harsh and Clayton Wright’s London community strong, weekly club night Feel It to local hot talent Rojak. Loads of favourites are back like the Fvck Pigs, Sue Veneers, Ghetto Fabulous, Cute Cartel and Jay Jay Revlon, and there’s some really exciting b2b’s. We’re working with mind blowing producers such as Runway X Banksie and the nations favourite, Lill, producing a fabulous line up of queens. We’re also cooking away at some special happenings with Sam Buttery and Beau Azra. As always, we just want to blow your socks off and have the best time with all our pals.”

House Of Spice, comments: “Homobloc is more than a festival to us – it’s a celebration of queerness, music, and chosen family. As a South Asian, Middle Eastern and North African queer brown collective, House of Spice is proud to bring our flavour to 2025, featuring Club Zindagi, Armana Khan, Shanika Sunrise, DJ Chafik, and our performers Lucky Roy Singh (Mother), Mixed Spice, Chilli Spice, Saffy Saffron Spice, and Rachel Pro-Filing. Together we’re excited to create a space that is unapologetically free, joyful, and rooted in community. Homobloc represents unity and visibility, and we can’t wait to dance, perform, and celebrate with everyone under one roof.”
