HOME has announced the line-up for the opening weekend of First Street Festival 2022, a five-week (weekends) event in Tony Wilson Place from 2nd June 2022.

Delivered in partnership with Ask Real Estate, supported by CBRE, First Street Festival provides a range of free activities throughout June and July 2022 as part of First Street’s Summer at First programme of activity.

The opening weekend includes Drag Performances curated by Donna Trump, live music from Juba do Leao and Yemi Bolatiwa, Yoga with Jenny Roche, DJ sets from DJ Paulette, Steve Varden, Mix-Stress, DJ NikNak and DJ Califace J, family friendly events hosted by Cheddar Gorgeous and performances from Young Identity and AMP (Accessible Music Productions).

All activities are free and open to the public and will take place on the central stage in Tony Wilson Place (in front of HOME).

HOME has programmed the opening weekend (the Queen’s Jubilee weekend) and has worked with four partner organisations to curate the following weekends, allowing for a wide diversity of artists and voices, all uniquely part of the artistic community of Manchester, to take part over these weekends. This year’s partners are Brighter Sound, SM Music MGMT, All Hands on Deck, and The Untold Orchestra. Their line-ups will be announced in due course.
