H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is collaborating with Manchester based talents and businesses for the opening of their Trafford Centre store on April 14th.

The store will offer a world leading interior look and feel for the brand that puts customer experience and sustainability first.

H&M Trafford Centre “will be the first of its kind in the U.K.” says H&M U.K. & Ireland Country Manager Toni Galli. “The store will feature an open façade with no windows, creating a welcoming, modern and meaningful shopping experience were style, creativity and culture are celebrated.”

Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M opened its first U.K. store in 1976. Over forty years later, H&M’s U.K. and Ireland portfolio has grown to include more than 200 stores.

Customers visiting the new Trafford Centre store will notice a warmer, more welcoming interior and relaxed environment, and a lower volume of products which will be displayed in a curated and inspirational way.

During opening week, and in the coming months, H&M is partnering with local businesses in Manchester, to support the community, “proving how committed we are to Manchester and our loyal customers there,” H&M Expansion Manager Chris Clare states. “We are also adding the extremely popular H&M HOME concept to the Manchester shopping agenda – which we know is loved by those in the city and region.”

H&M Trafford Centre will be a leading retail destination where customers can shop quality fashion for best price in a sustainable way.

With sustainability at the heart of its business model, H&M continues to lead the transition to circular, climate positive fashion.

These values will be built into the foundation of the new Trafford Centre store which offers H&M’s Garment Collection and Recycling service. Launched in 2013, H&M’s Garment Collection and Recyling scheme allows customers to donate any unwanted clothes
and textiles, by any brand, whilst shopping in-store. All donated items are recycled with 0% going to landfill.

To encourage customers to use their Garment Collection programme, H&M offer Conscious Points in addition to a digital voucher. The H&M garment collecting scheme is just one example of the many projects H&M has implemented to lead the change towards 100% circularity.

Toni Galli, Country Manager for H&M U.K. & Ireland said, “We are super excited to be offering our customers a brand-new store at the Trafford Centre this Spring. Our aim is to offer our customers a modern and meaningful shopping experience were style, creativity and culture are celebrated, and we are confident that our new store at the Trafford Centre will offer exactly this. We cannot wait to share more details with our customers soon!”

Zoe Inman, Centre Director at Trafford Centre, added, “The H&M reopening and expansion is such an exciting opportunity for Trafford Centre, we’re delighted to house H&M’s first of its kind concept store and design across the world. The expansion of bringing H&M HOME to the centre will enhance our customers shopping experience and strengthen the fabulous home and interiors offering.”
