Did you go through your wardrobe over the Christmas period? Do you have clothes packed up and waiting to be dropped off at a charity shop near you?

St Ann’s Hospice is desperately in need of winter stock for their charity shops around South Manchester.

They are urgently calling for people to drop off women’s, men’s and children’s clothes. If they don’t receive donations soon, they may start to run out of winter stock as soon as next week.

Just pulling out and donating one item per person would make a huge difference. The hospice is urgently in need predominantly of ladies’ winter clothing to help raise funds to care for people in Greater Manchester with life-limiting illnesses.

It’s easy to drop off any donations to your nearest shop, with most of the shops open from 9am – 4.30pm. You can find your nearest shop at www.sah.org.uk/get-involved/shop.

The Distribution Centre in Reddish, Stockport also has a donation box that you are able to drop donations off at until 8pm. This is a great way of getting your old clothes to one of the St Ann’s charity shops if you are busy during the day!

If you’ve been sorting through your clothes and have any items that you can donate, don’t wait to drop them off at one of the St Ann’s Hospice charity shops. You’d really be making a difference to your local hospice.

Ryan Perkins, Head of Trading – Retail at St Ann’s Hospice, says: “Even just one item that you can donate would make such a difference. For the majority of our shops, you can simply pull up outside to drop off your donations.

“It is a tough time for many people and we need your support more now than ever. Anything that can be spared would be a great help to St Ann’s Hospice.”
