The Home Secretary has announced that the Government will be appealing against the High Court ruling earlier this week to close the Bell Hotel in Epping which is being used to house immigrants
The injunction was sought by Epping Forest District Council to stop migrants being placed at The Bell Hotel which is owned by Somani Hotels Limited which was ruled to be contrary to planning rules .
The security minister Dan Jarvis said:
“This government will close all asylum hotels and we will clear up the mess that we inherited from the previous government.
“We’ve made a commitment that we will close all of the asylum hotels by the end of this parliament, but we need to do that in a managed and ordered way. And that’s why we’ll appeal this decision.”
