The Dr Michael Josephson MBE Farewell Ball has announced that legendary British singer Gabrielle will headline the star-studded event on 14th March 2026 at the Manchester Deansgate Hotel. The event promises an unforgettable evening of glamour, music and philanthropy in support of children’s and youth charities.

One of the UK’s most beloved voices, Gabrielle rose to fame in the early 1990’s with her breakthrough single “Dreams”, which topped UK charts and helped shape a remarkable career spanning over three decades. Known for timeless hits such as “Rise”, “Out of Reach” and “Give Me a Little More Time”, Gabrielle has won multiple accolades including two BRIT Awards and sold millions of records worldwide.

The special ball marks the farewell event in Dr Michael Josephson MBE’s long-running charity series, which has grown into the North’s most high-profile philanthropic events. Over the years, the balls have attracted national attendance and seen appearances from leading figures in entertainment, sport and society from Dame Joan Collins to Elizabeth Hurley, helping to raise millions of pounds for children’s charities.

The 2024 ball set a new benchmark by raising over £1.2 million for its beneficiaries including Variety, the Children’s Charity, Seashell Trust, Rainbow Trust, Mahdlo Youth Zone and The Anne Frank Trust, with all proceeds distributed to support vital services for children and young people. Previous events have also delivered record-breaking totals and seen a selection of megastars perform including Lulu and Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Dr Michael Josephson MBE said: “We’re incredibly honoured that Gabrielle will be performing at what will be a very special night. It’s fitting that her voice will be part of our farewell ball – the perfect celebration of community. We’re really looking forward to the event and continuing to raise more money for children’s charities across the UK.”

Gabrielle said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be performing at the Dr Michael Josephson MBE Farewell Ball. It’s a privilege to be part of such a special evening.”

The Dr Michael Josephson MBE Farewell Ball is supported by Godel Technologies and Zeno, and will take place on Saturday 14th March at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel, with guests from across the country set to join supporters and philanthropists for the evening.

Tables for the event are sold out, continuing the Ball’s reputation as one of the North West’s most prestigious dates in the social calendar. However, you can still offer your support by bidding on the silent auction.
