There are a number of flood alerts across the region after a day of heavy rain

The Environmental Agency have issued flood alerts for the following catchment areas

Flooding is possible at low lying land and roads around the Rivers Irk and Medlock, Wince and Worsley Brooks and their tributaries.

Middle River Mersey catchment includes Micker, Cringle, Sinderland and Poynton Brooks and their tributaries. Other locations which may be affected are Stretford, Gatley, Cheadle Hulme and Cheadle.

The River Bollin catchment includes the Rivers Bollin, Dean and Pedley, Birkin and Mobberley Brooks and their tributaries. Areas around Knutsford, Wilmslow, Hale, Macclesfield and Bollington may be affected.

Upper Irwell catchment includes the Rivers Beal, Roch and Croal, Limey Water and their tributaries. Other locations which may be affected are around Farnworth, Whitefield, Little Lever, Radcliffe, Bury, Heywood, Whitworth and Bacup.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Glaze, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around low lying land and roads around Moss, Hey, Bedford and Borsdane Brooks and their tributaries. Flooding is possible at low lying land and roads around Moss, Hey, Bedford and Borsdane Brooks and their tributaries overnight and into Monday morning.
