The Environmental Agency has issued Flood warnings across many of Greater Manchester as the region is being battered by rainfall that is predicted to cover the region in a month’s worth of rain across just 24 hours

Areas across Bramhall,Stockport,Sale ,Altrincham,Urmston,Hyde,Denton,Stalybridge, Glossop and Ashton under Lyne could all be affected.

Met Office forecasters issued a yellow weather warning from 3pm on Friday to 3pm on Saturday covering the whole of the region

On the roads, there is traffic congestion on the  A555 Manchester Airport relief road because of flooding and roads roads near the Bramhall Lane South roundabout in Bramhall are being affected by flooding.

Salmon Fields in Royton is closed in both directions at the junction with Leonard Way also due to flooding
