Fove men aged, 20, 22, 24, 28 and 39 have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and remain in custody for questioning after shots were fired in Salford on Monday evening
Shots were fired at an address on Lissadel Street between 8.45pm and 9pm say police
but no injuries were sustained during the incident.
Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Johnson of our Salford district said: “We know how concerning incidents like this can be for those who live and work in the area.
“Since the incident was reported into us, we made significant headway, apprehending five men in relation to the discharge.
“While it’s fortunate that no one was injured, the use of firearms on our streets is completely unacceptable.
“We are still appealing for any information and footage that might assist us in our enquiries, and this can be submitted to us by calling us on 101 quoting log 791 of 07/10/2025.
