Greater Manchester Fire Fighters are currently battling a fire a commercial premises on the outskirts of the City Centre.
The fire in a car repair premises is on Ashton Old Road, close to Chancellor Lane.
It broke out around 4.30 this morning and around 50 firefighters and officers from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance, with firefighters tackling the fire using hose reels.
“Firefighters have contained the fire to the part of the building where it started and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the vehicle repair shop.”
Midland Road is currently closed.
