Unplugged, the UK’s original ‘off grid cabin’ escape to offer three-night digital detoxes, launches a new site in the Cheshire region, named Luna.

Available for bookings from 23 September and located between Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham, Unplugged invites busy folk from these areas, the ultimate break to switch off and embrace a ‘digital detox’ to help improve their overall wellbeing.

In a world where people are constantly connected, glued to digital devices, inundated with notifications and stuck in the trend of being fashionably ‘busy’ all the time, Unplugged provides the ultimate escape.

With 72 hours being the optimum time to reap the benefits of a true digital detox, guests at Unplugged have the opportunity to improve problems associated with high screentime, such as brain fog, poor sleep quality, anxiety and unproductivity.

Luna, the latest to join Unplugged’s portfolio of uniquely designed cabins, will provide the perfect natural environment for time pressed, busy individuals. This includes; workers, parents, couples and individuals all in need of a sublime detox in nature, allowing them to relax, recharge and really switch off.

Situated just minutes from Cheshire’s renowned “Sandstone Trail”, Luna has far-reaching views of rolling hills and is not far from the local village of Tarporely, so is near to Chester (20 minutes), Liverpool (45 minutes), Manchester (one hour), Birmingham (one and a half hours) and Sheffield (two hours).

On arrival, guests will be asked to lock their digital devices, including mobile phones, in a lockbox for three days. These are swapped for an old school Nokia mobile (Snake included), a physical map to explore the scenic surroundings and an instant camera with film.

Also within the cabins include; books, board games and a functioning kitchen for cooking and dining. No WiFi is available.

A benefit of being in nature is that guests can reconnect with their immediate surroundings and consequently improve their sleep, productivity and overall relationships with their devices.

Entrepreneurs, friends and co-founders, Hector Hughes and Ben Elliot, are the creative visionaries behind Unplugged and created the escapes due to their own, personal experiences from spending too much time behind a screen.

Commenting on the launch of the new Cheshire cabin, Co-founder Hector Hughes comments: “‘Unplugged’ is the first of its kind in the UK, offering a true digital detox for three nights that is easily accessible for city dwellers – and we are delighted to give busy folk in other areas of the UK the ultimate escape to switch off – that quite frankly, we all need.
“For those living in Manchester, Chester, Liverpool and Birmingham looking for a unique and off the grid respite, we’re hoping our new escape will provide them with the ideal nature getaway to recharge.”

Luna is the 12th cabin to join Unplugged’s portfolio of beautiful, idyllic escapes, with plans confirmed to expand this number to 16 in other UK locations by the end of 2022.

All escapes are for three nights, the optimum time for a digital detox, and start from £390 per cabin.
