The family of Dyanne Mansfield who died in Hale earlier this week have paid tribute to her.
The 71 year old was pronounced dead at the scene at a property on Canterbury Road, Hale on Wednesday morning
A 72-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in hospital with serious neck and arm injuries.
Paying tribute to Dyanne, her family said: “Dyanne was a much loved wife, sister and friend to many, and will be greatly missed by all.
“She really enjoyed all the time she spent on holiday, and she got a lot of pleasure and enjoyment spending time out in her garden.”
A full investigation into her death has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward and speak with police.
