Embryo Digital, the Old Trafford-based search-led digital marketing agency, continues to lengthen its northern client list with two new wins in the hair and beauty sector.

Hairshark, based in Oldham, and created by two Manchester hairdressers, is the world’s first two-sided backcombing brush and is sold through major retailers such as Boots, Amazon and Misguided.

SOS Haircare, is an all-natural vitamin drink to help grow thick, healthy hair and was created by a team of hairdressers including Sheffield-based, celebrity hairdresser Danny Richo.

The Embryo team is carrying out SEO and social media campaigns for the two hair brands, as well as creating content for Hairshark.

Hairshark has already seen organic traffic to its website increase by 200% within the first two months of work by Embryo.

Ross Carlin, co-owner of SOS Haircare, explains why the company chose Embryo Digital: We know it’s important that our website is easy to find and use so that our customers can achieve their online goals. We decided to work with Embryo as we loved their young and vibrant attitude, which we believe will help us to achieve our goal of improving our directtoconsumer channel.”

Ryan Robinson, Operations Manager of Hairshark, also praised the Embryo team:Embryo is by far the best digital marketing team we have worked with. They are an asset to any business and a fantastic team whose work is already getting us great results with the increase in traffic to our website.”

These latest client wins for the award-winning agency, brings its total number of retained clients to more than 60.

Unusual for a fast-moving industry – most of its clients have been with the agency for over a year, with a very high retention rate of between 94-98% on average.

The number of staff that work at Embryo Digital has increased from 4 to 20 since 2018 and it plans to fill another 8 roles by 2020 to take its number of employees to 28.

Ross Green, Managing Director of Embryo Digital: “Our client list in the North continues to grow and the team is thoroughly enjoying working with vibrant young brands such as Hairshark and SOS Haircare. Working with names like these in the health and beauty sector just increases the breadth and depth of our sector experience within Manchester and across the region.”

The agency is a finalist in this years Digital Entrepreneur Awards being held in November in the ‘Most Innovative use of Digital Technology’ category for its ground-breakingmarketing index. The Embryo Index, compares companies across Manchester in five major sectors using various metrics to show how each is performing in terms of marketing visibility.
