He is possibly the most famous Old Kingdom pharaoh and lived over 4,500 years ago but now an exciting virtual reality event in Manchester has brought him to life
Khufu was the second pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty.His full name is Khnum-Khufu, or “Protected by Khnum.” The Greeks called him Suphis or Cheops. Existing records show that he could have reigned anywhere from 23 to 34 years

A hidden Great Pyramid corridor, measuring nearly 30 meters (100 ft) in length, has been pinpointed deep within the limestone giant, a passage that some believe could lead to the long-lost burial chamber of King Khufu himself.
