Since the start of 2022, The Edge Theatre & Arts Centre in Chorlton has been hosting a Celebrity Pop Quiz in its award-winning cafe bar, The Dressing Room.
Comedian, actor, narrator and all-round fabulous TV personality, Mr John Thomson is the host for this monthly event in the South Manchester suburb. John is the perfect Pop quizmaster and, being an ace drummer, has many other musical skills too. He even delivered a music round as a human beatbox at one of the quizzes!
With themes such as Manchester Music, Lyrics, Name that Tune, Novelty Records, Real Names…the quiz team audiences are always treated to some of John’s brilliant impersonations for the Lyrics round, including vocal visits from Tommy Cooper, Christopher Walken, Sylvester Stallone and Frank Spencer, to name just a few ~ and sometimes John even sings as well!
