Captain Sir Tom Moore’s daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband Colin have been disqualified from being charity trustees by the Charity Commission, the family said in a statement

A statement from the Ingram-Moore family said Hannah and her husband Colin had been served an order of disqualification as trustees by the Charity Commission

The pair founded the Captain Tom Foundation in June 2020 in honour of the war veteran – after he raised millions by doing sponsored laps of his garden during the COVID pandemic.

However The Charity Commission opened a case into the charity, reviewing the set-up of the organisation and launched an inquiry after identifying concerns about the charity’s management and independence from Captain Tom’s family.

Last summer planners ordered an unauthorised building in Captain Tom’s daughter’s home be demolished, after plans for a block containing a spa pool were rejected. It was later demolished and in April this year the family home where Sir Tom walked the laps was listed for sale for £2.25m.
