Coop Livehas today launched its recruitment campaign which will see the creation of more than 2,000 casual jobs in Manchester, encouraging local residents to ‘Be Part Of The Crew’.

Ranging across stewards, fan safety and services, chefs, bar and restaurant staff, back of house food and beverage staff, hosts and more, the jobs will offer flexible working, upskilling, and training, and will uphold Co-op Live’s commitment to providing a real living wage. The additional roles will be vital for welcoming fans and artists to Co-op Live for the venue’s vibrant opening season.

On track to become the UK’s most socially responsible arena, Co-op Live has already seen the positive impact that the arena is having on communities, with construction alone generating more than 3,350 jobs. As a supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, Co-op Live is committed to offering high-quality work, upskilling and attracting diverse talent, and engaging positively with teams.

Co-op Live, a joint venture between Oak View Group and City Football Group, has been designed to transform the live music experience for both artists and fans. The arena will boast an innovative bowl design and a large standing floor to bring fans closer to artists. When doors open in April 2024, Co-op Live will welcome an array of world class musical talent across various genres to perform on the UK’s biggest stage.

Co-op Live aims to be one of Europe’s most sustainable arenas. It is committed to sustainability with a strong focus on all-green electric power, zero waste to landfill, and 100% rainwater collection. Bolstering Co-op’s core brand values, the venue’s ‘Gigs that Give Back’ will generate £1 million annually for the Co-op Foundation to support causes on a local and national scale, including delivering on its new youth-led strategy and the vision of ‘Co-operating for a Fairer World’.
