If you’re looking to fill little tummies this half term, treat the kids to a trip to much loved burger joint, Almost Famous at Great Northern Warehouse. The venue promises to satisfy rumbling tums and offers kids their very own menu with options including a classic cheeseburger and chicken burger served with plenty of fries for just £6. Lane 7

Keep the older children entertained this half-term at Lane 7, the must-visit venue, which offers bowling like you’ve never experienced before. Fat Hippo at Lane 7

Lane7 has its very own in-house restaurant, Fat Hippo. The restaurant allows little ones to build their burger their way. For just £6, kids get to pick their patty, with an option of beef, chicken, or vegan, and then customise with a range of tasty toppings, sauce and a side. Alex’s Bakery

For sweet toothed little ones, Alex’s Bakery is the perfect place to pick up a tasty treat, with Alex’s famous iced cupcakes and gooey brownies available from the counter. Or try out Alex’s new brunch menu which features Alex’s brioche French toast, topped with mixed berry compote, mascarpone and lots of syrup and cream.

Cibo

If it’s pizza they want you can check out newly opened Cibo on Great Northern Square. Their lunch menu has one course for £7 and two courses for £12 making it a perfect family pit stop.

The Book Nook

For budding authors and creative kids, The Book Nook, community library offers access to free books and provides a quiet place to stop off in the city centre. Open 10:00 -19:30 every day throughout half term, the Book Nook is complete with a children’s section making it the perfect stop off for parents with kids in tow looking for a warm, dry space to entertain the kids free of charge.

The Sandpit
