The weather outside might be frightful, but the snow slopes are so delightful. The UK’s longest indoor snow slope, Chill Factore, will be welcoming back guests from across the North West as it reopens its doors, following the second national lockdown.

From Wednesday 2nd December, households, families and ski fanatics will be able to get back on the slopes and enjoy some real snow just in time for Christmas. The re-opening comes with some changes to opening hours, lesson sizes and the number of activities on offer, to ensure guests and staff can safely socially distance at all times.

With the school holidays fast approaching, you can book your little ones on to its Kids Snow School which specialises in both ski and snowboarding lessons for all ages and abilities – perfect for parents that still have some last minute Christmas preparations to do.

With the festive season just around the corner but social distancing regulations still in place, Chill Factore’s famous Santa’s grotto has gone virtual, meaning the whole family can visit Santa from the comfort of their own home. From 5th December until Christmas Eve you can book a magical video call and speak to Santa in his snowy grotto. The experience can be booked from £20.99, and includes the call recording and the option to add multiple callers/screens so that the whole family can be brought together.

Family favourite activity, Snow Park, as well as Lift Passes will also be available to purchase online. To avoid disappointment, make sure all tickets are booked in advance and via Chill Factore’s website.

“We can’t wait to welcome guests back when we open our doors again on Wednesday 2nd December. We know many ski and snowboard enthusiasts, along with families that enjoy activities together, have been keeping their fingers crossed that they’ll be able to return to the slopes before Christmas, and we can’t wait to see them all back.

We’re extremely happy that Chill Factore has its ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation from Visit England, meaning that all of the safety measures in place are in line with Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines. We ask that all guests follow the measures for both their own safety and the safety of our team members, but above all, we ask our guests come and enjoy a white Christmas!”

The Chill Factore team will be wearing PPE and protective screens remain at the main Guest Reception, along with multiple sanitizing stations for guests to use on arrival, during their visit, and when they leave. In addition, snow fans are reminded to pre-book their tickets online and collect them from the self-service machines or Guest Reception upon arrival.

To reduce contact among guests and in line with the current Government guidelines, the changing and locker facilities will remain closed and Chill Factore will not be offering clothing hire for its activities. Guests will need to arrive in warm, waterproof clothing and appropriate clean, grippy footwear before heading out to the sub-zero slope to enjoy the snow.

For those activities where kit hire is essential, including lessons and lift passes, guests will be able to borrow skis, ski boots, snowboards and helmets, or of course, bring their own. All equipment will be subject to thorough sanitising and quarantine measures between each use, using a new anti-viral fogging machine which eliminates airborne viruses on contact.
