Circle Square, Manchester’s innovative neighbourhood from Bruntwood SciTech and Vita Group, is hosting a special Summer Picnic event on Sunday 17th August from 11am – 5:30pm, featuring a whole host of activities, food and drink, and entertainment for all ages.
The Summer In The City Picnic invites families from across Manchester to come together and enjoy all that Summer in this great city has to offer. Circle Square’s Symphony Park, one of the city centre’s most striking green spaces, will be transformed into a bustling picnic spot, complete with two long picnic tables for families to sit at and enjoy food and drink from an array of Circle Square retailers.
Guests can expect plenty of entertainment as they dine too, with an exciting array of pop-up and interactive performances from local artists, DJs, entertainers and roaming musicians forming the centre of the action. Think everything from Rio Brass Roaming Band and Ghetto Fabulous Lip Sync Crawl and Catwalk to flower roller skaters and hula hoopers.
For younger visitors, there will also be plenty of exciting activities to get stuck into. Highlights include a designated Story Time Tent, arts and crafts, an interactive art window message wall and classes from Restart Pilates running on the park throughout the day. There will also be a range of giant lawn games for all ages from Giant Jenga and Ring Toss to Connect Four.
Adjacent to Oxford Road train station, Circle Square is one of Manchester’s most unique places to live, work, eat and drink. It is home to exciting businesses including hospitality and leisure innovators such as Onda Pasta Bar, Federal, and Restart Reformer Pilates alongside a community of digital and tech trailblazers such as HPE, Avalere Health and Roku. No.3 Circle Square, the latest £87m, 267,000 sq ft addition to the campus completed in April and will be the new home to AutoTrader’s HQ and Puma.
