Canada Goose today announced the opening of its Pop-Up store in Manchester, set to open this Fall through Spring 2022. Located on New Cathedral Street close to the lively Arndale Centre, this temporary “Live in the Open Pop-Up” will be the first of its kind to launch in Europe, bringing the brand’s Canadian Warmth to consumers through the senses.

“Live in the Open” is Canada Goose’s global storytelling platform that represents a state of mind – living bravely, openly, and joyfully. This mindset can be cultivated and embraced in any environment, even the most urban. The platform inspires the community to connect with the world around us, as well as the people and places that show our true nature and compel us all to bravely break new ground.

Bringing the Live in the Open spirit to life physically, this unique Pop-Up concept will revolve around elements of nature and create a sensory experience for guests through sight, sound, touch and scent, complementing Canada Goose’s renowned apparel that enables people to thrive in the world outside. The store design showcases impactful visuals, entitled the ‘Life of Forests’ by photographer Brendan George Ko, who believes that trees possess a complex underground exchange network. Canada Goose is known for its rich art series throughout its international stores, bringing its Canadian heritage to life through art. The Northern Art Program is a physical manifestation of the brand’s purpose platform, HUMANATURE and is focused on elevating Canadian and Arctic narratives, expressing the kinship between person and land.

The Pop-Up also features a mix of leafy foliage throughout as reference to the Canadian wilderness. Notes of Sage, Canadian Fir Needle and Cedarwood form an evocative fragrance throughout the space, while a nature-inspired audio recording with sounds of forest bathing, produced by artist Joseph Murray, creates a fully immersive experience.

As a luxury lifestyle brand that specializes in performance, exposure to the elements fuels everything that Canada Goose does. The brand’s expertise in apparel has been built from decades of first-hand experience, tried and tested in the harshest places on earth. Each Canada Goose product tells stories of triumph, resilience and greatness, made iconic by the people who wear them, and the lessons of survival learned from them. The Manchester Pop-Up will present a broad product assortment for all seasons built for the city’s classically oceanic climate and cooler Northern temperatures, including parkas, rainwear, windwear, lightweight down, premium knitwear and accessories for men, women and children. Notable styles include the Cypress and Crofton jackets and vests, which launched earlier this year, made of recycled nylon as an expansion of Canada Goose’s sustainable product offerings. For Fall, the brand has expanded this line with a new style, the Puffer, also crafted with recycled Feather-Light Ripstop fabric.

The womenswear collection boasts a variety of new fashion-forward silhouettes, colourways and fabrics, including the brand’s latest material innovation: durable and ultra-soft Performance Satin. Key styles such as the McKenna Jacket and Everleigh Bomber have been introduced in this sophisticated, weather-resistance finish. Also launching this season, across both womenswear and menswear, is the Pastels collection, which will be a highlight of the Live in the Open Pop-Up. This new capsule is a diversified assortment of product – from puffers to vests – in an array of strong pastel colours making it the perfect wardrobe addition for the city.
