The festival is an key date in The Met’s calendar as an important charity fundraiser, helping it to continue to run its successful year-long programme of events and community activities.

The Beer Festival is a favourite with the region’s beer drinkers, and also provides support to local breweries. This year The Met is delighted to welcome:

Brewsmith, family-run microbrewery based in Ramsbottom.

Brightside: Award-winning beers from Radcliffe.

Deeply Vale: Family business established in central Bury in 2012.

Northern Monkey: Fine craft beers from the Bolton brewery.

Strange Times: A Salford-based brewery with over fifty years of collective experience in thebeer industry and a desire to experiment.

Red Rose: Beer done good. Made in Lancashire with British hops.

Northern Whisper: Northern Whisper Brewing Co. are all about inclusivity and aim to have a beer in their range and a seat in their venues to suit all tastes.

Marble Beers: The Manchester based brewery behind The Marble Arch and The Tap Room come to Bury Beer Festival with their range of popular brews

The Met will also be running its own cider bar and there will be live music throughout the weekend.

Drinkers will also get the chance to vote for the coveted Bury’s “Beer of the Year” award.
