The inaugural Burrs Live – By The Met will be bringing a festival atmosphere to Burrs Country Park this summer with two weeks of live music, community events, family fun and artisan food in the great outdoors.

The brand-new festival running 27th August – 5th September, will feature a packed programme of live music events hosted on an outdoor stage, including performances from the world’s premier Beatles tribute, The Bootleg Beatles, folk supergroup, Show of Hands, and one of the biggest success stories in British theatre history, The Magic of Motown.

The live music offering will culminate in two full days of the much-loved Head For The Hills festival as it returns for the first time since 2018, on 3rd and 4th September. Traditionally surrounded by beautiful panoramic views of rolling Lancashire hills at the Ramsbottom Cricket Club, Head for the Hills is a fun-filled family friendly festival, renowned for showcasing exciting new music, alongside world-class headliners, as well as its great taste in food and drink.

In addition, Happy Festival, a festival inspired by the work of much-loved Victoria Wood and the way she made people feel, will be taking over the grounds on 5th September with a fun-filled day of events and performances for the whole family. Hosted by Britain’s Got Talent’s Steve Royle, the line-up includes Manchester comedian Rachel Fairburn and Coronation Street star and Victoria Wood long-time collaborator Sue Devaney, plus much more.

Brightside Brewery will be providing the drinks throughout Burrs Live and will be complemented beautifully by a varied selection of local food vendors, so all you need to bring is yourself and a chair or blanket, sit back and soak up those summer festival feels.

Burrs Live is supported by Arts Council England, GMCA, Bury Council and Bury Town of Culture, sponsored by Contained Air Solutions, Pearson Ferrier, Avoira and ISM Waste, and partnered by Lancashire Wildlife Trust, with Walk the Plank as a community partner.
