With the TV industry worth 19bn in the UK, it’s safe to say that we’re surrounded by celebrities. But what happens when we develop a crush on someone we’ve never met?

Otherwise known as celebrity crushes, developing feelings for someone on the TV is quite a normal phenomenon. It’s thought that celebrity crushes develop because we crave companionship as human beings. If you see someone on the TV that you think would make a good companion, chances are you’ve developed a celebrity crush!
