Europe’s biggest shoe retailer, Deichmann shoes, has opened in Manchester today, having moved to a new unit within the Arndale Centre.

The move, which saw the brand snap up and move into the former Poundland store, is a response to a need for a larger space, thanks to record levels of trading for the brand since it arrived in the UK just over 10 years ago.

The brand has spent £390,000 on refurbishments.

Like the rest of the brand’s 3,500 strong global portfolio, the new 472m2 Manchester store benefits from a simple, customer friendly layout, with all the stock available on the shop floor so that customers can easily locate and try on the style and size of their choice.

As local residents will know, Deichmann has an impressive range of ladies shoes, bags and accessories, which frequently gains column inches in publications from Marie Claire to Woman’s Own.

In the past, the company has also collaborated with cutting edge fashion designers and A-List stars – from design duo, Nova Chiu, to Hollywood celebrity, Halle Berry – to bring exclusive, stylish collections to its customers at accessible prices.

Deichmann also stocks a full range of men’s and children’s shoes, as well as unique and exclusive lines from brands such as adidas and Nike, sold at characteristically unbeatable prices.

Deichmann’s own brand shoes start at just £5.99, with real leather products starting at £24.99.

To celebrate the opening of its new and improved store in Manchester, Deichmann is offering customers a range of irresistible promotional offers and mark-downs.

Chris Walker, Store Manager of Deichmann in Manchester, said:

“It’s been a challenging few weeks as we were determined to keep trading for as long as possible during the refurbishments which, we succeeded in doing as the store was only closed for a few days.”

“The store is looking fantastic and visiting us is going to be an even better experience from now on. I’m really looking forward to welcoming old and new customers alike.”
