A Stockport High School will be closed today after an inspection found RAAC concrete in parts of the building

Bramhall High School, Stockport, will be closed on Friday 10 November.

This was a difficult decision to take days Stockport Council in a statement but the safety of staff and pupils is our paramount concern.

“We are working closely with the school to make sure alternative arrangements are up and running as soon as possible.

“We also continue to carry out inspections across the borough so we can be assured about the condition of the roof material and that RAAC is not present.”

A statement on the school website says:

“It is with regret that we have had to make the difficult decision to close our school tomorrow, Friday, November 10. Please check Class Charts or your emails for further information.”
