Situated on North George street, the Adelphi Lads Club will be serving pizza from Talk to Me Pizza which has taken Manchester by storm

Manchester based Atiké presents Ellen Beth Adbi, Hannah O’Gorman,  Jade Li, Jonah Baldwin and Jude the Obscure to headline this Saturday night, July 9th at Salford’s most exciting new venue the Adelphi Lads Club.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday evening with doors open from 5PM and Reform Radio on the decks. The Adel-Fi System night will launch and take up residency on Friday evening with cocktails mixed and pints poured from 5PM, with special acts announced across social media over the coming weeks.

The party starts at 2PM on Saturday with a garden takeover from Mi Gusta and Green Island Festival co-founder, Atiké. The Mancunian based DJ has brought together a curated line up to bring the Adelphi Garden to life with the soundtrack carrying through into the night.

Situated on North George street, the Adelphi Lads Club will be serving pizza from Talk to Me Pizza. Founded by a bunch of scruffy haired lads residing in South Manchester, Talk To Me Pizza has taken Manchester by storm with sites in Northern Quarter and Withington. Highlights on the Adelphi Lads Club menu include the Salami San Marzano tomatoes, Fior Di Latte, Pepperoni, Salami Milano, Piquillo Peppers, Oregano and Basil, the Twisted Hawaiian San Marzano tomatoes, Fior Di Latte, Crispy Prosciutto, Pineapple Glaze and Piquillo Peppers or their entirely vegan pizza, the Plaintain a Plantain base, Vegan mozzarella, Caramelised onions, Pickled Scotch bonnets, Garlic oil, Oregano and Basil.

Wing Tings, a London based duo will also be in residency from Thursday serving up their signature style chicken wings and chicken tender sandwiches.

The party, as well as the fine July weather, continues into Soulford Sunday with a takeover by P-RO Presents Javan and SCAPA from 3pm. Expect their unique style creating the perfect sound to see the weekend out in style.

The Adelphi Lads Club has confirmed an exciting summer programme of all-day parties from the largest regional promoters and underground chilled sets from globally recognised DJ’s. In the coming weeks expect performances from acts such as DRS & Friends, Helen K, Lil’ Minx, Metrodome, Out of the Quiet, and Veba.

The venue is the perfect space to enjoy the Mancunian summer, with a sun drenched green oasis benefitting from all day sunshine and an outdoor DJ booth. Inspired by the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean, the Adelphi Garden’s blue walls and foliage create the perfect backdrop for the programmed entertainment with a bedouin inspired tent to seek shade and shelter from Manchester’s famously changeable weather.

The interior pays homage to the Adelphi Lads Club of old; industrial and raw with original exposed brickwork and floor tiles.  The custom concrete bar is offset by the repurposed leather  seating salvaged from venues around the UK.

The Adelphi Lads Club was formed in 1888 by 23-year-old teacher Walter Southern, as a means to keep impoverished kids off the street and out of trouble. It quickly became the centre of the community before closing its doors in 2008.
