Greater Manchester Police carried out Six warrants  across Ancoats, Gorton and Stockport as part of an ongoing investigation relating to the selling and distribution of drugs in the area

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of and possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of Class A, B and C. He remains in custody for questioning.

A woman in her 30s was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B controlled drugs. She has been released on police bail.

Officers also seized a large quantity of Class A and B drugs, cash and several e-bikes which are thought to have been used in dealing the drugs found at the address.

At one of the properties, police located cannabis in the washing machine which was found during the search of an address in Gorton.

The drugs found are thought to be worth an estimated £50,000 if they were sold on the streets.

Inspector Zac Campbell from our Neighbourhood Policing Team covering Gorton and Levenshulme said: “This morning’s warrants are as a result of months of dedicated work by officers who have been gathering intelligence and evidence about suspected drug dealing in the community.

“Drug dealing brings exploitation, violence and anti-social behaviour into our neighbourhoods, and we know the significant impact it can have on residents. We are committed to pursuing those involved and bringing them to justice.
