Apple launched its latest instalment of the iPhone which has 5G to increase internet speeds and the A14 chip which is the fastest in any smartphone.
The launch came around a month later than usual due to the pandemic.
The new iPhone comes in two sizes, the iPhone 12 has a 6.1-inch screen and the iPhone 12 mini has a screen measuring 5.4 inches. Both have a super retina XDR display.
The new model is also 11% thinner than the previous model as well as 16% lighter.
The iPhone 12 also boasts a screen that performed four times better in drop performance tests. This is due to ceramic shield which, according to Apple, is clearly tougher than any smartphone glass. To improve the toughness of the glass screen it sits flush to the edge of the edges of the handset.
The iPhone 12 has a new 12-megapixel dual-camera system on the rear with normal and ultrawide lenses and the TrueDepth selfie camera from Face ID on the front. The camera system also has improved night mode to catch great photos in low light settings.
