Six candidates will go through to the next round of voting in the Tory leadership race after former Health and Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt and the current Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi failed to reach thirty votes

Rishi Sunak topped the poll with 88 votes, with Penny Mordaunt, said to be the favourite among party members second with 67 backers.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss had 50 votes (, Kemi Badenoch 40, and Suella Braverman had 32

Tom Tugendhat, also stays in the race with 37 supporters.
