The Alan in Manchester, the city’s most Instagram-able hotel, has unveiled an exclusive ‘Soundtrack to Your Stay’ to give guests and influencers a unique audio backdrop when posting about their stay on social media.
With the use of Instagram Reels increasing a staggering 57.4% over the past year combined with The Alan’s popularity amongst content creators, the hotel embraced this online trend by collaborating with a local music college to create a sound to capture the essence of the hotel.
Crafted by Georgi Clarke, a student at the Royal Northern College of Music as a part of a ‘Soundtrack to your Stay’ competition, the track titled ‘Good Vibes’ captures the essence of The Alan, offering guests musical inspiration for their content from the moment they step into the hotel’s industrial-chic ambiance. Georgi’s soundtrack establishes her as one of the new Makers at The Alan hotel, joining artisans whose works can be found across the hotel from the bespoke ceramic lighting found in the rooms, to the terrazzo bar front.
“At The Alan, we’re always looking for new ways to create unforgettable experiences for our guests,” said Paul Walsh, the hotel’s general manager. “Every aspect of The Alan has been curated to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind experience, demonstrated by the talented Makers whose artistry is integrated throughout the building. ‘Good Vibes’ takes this artistry online, weaving seamlessly into the hotel’s industrial-chic and creatively charged identity, which is so popular with our guests wanting to show off their stay on social media.”
Georgi Clarke, winner of the ‘Soundtrack to your Stay’ competition said: “I’m delighted that my song has been selected by The Alan. I am passionate about composing and had great fun exploring different ideas and styles for this piece.”
On what inspired her to create the unique ‘Good Vibes’ soundtrack: “I wanted to compose something that reflected the creative and vibrant nature of the hotel with an air of sophistication. As a result, this track is a feel-good instrumental piece in the Pop genre with electronic elements evoking feelings of positivity, happiness, and good vibes.”
