Attracting over 13,000 art enthusiasts, Manchester Art Fair is one of the city’s most celebrated cultural events, bringing together over 170 UK and individual artists, galleries and artist-led spaces in the heart of Manchester.

Since its inception in 2008 the fair has played host to over 110,000 visitors and amassed over £7m in art sales.  Now, art lovers wanting to be amongst the first to secure their place at the acclaimed event can save by booking advance tickets as they go on sale tomorrow .

This year the event, designed for the collector, curator and simply curious, will feature more new exhibitors than ever before, with over a third of all exhibitors to make their inaugural appearance at Manchester Art Fair.  They will feature alongside returning galleries and artists, all of whom will also be showing new works.

“With anticipation for this year’s fair building, we’re thrilled to announce that advance tickets will go on sale this Thursday,” said Fair Director, Sophie Helm.

“The number of applications for this year’s edition surpassed all expectations, making for an extremely challenging selection process. The final list of exhibitors is incredibly strong, presenting a more diverse range of work than ever before with a third of all exhibitors making their inaugural appearance at Manchester Art Fair”.

Joining those selected to exhibit for the first time are Francis Iles Gallery with an eclectic mix of UK and international artists and Linton 59 Gallery showing work whose style is derived from a love of colour, texture and expression.

Among the individual artists, Alec Cummings stands out with his work inspired by time spent in India, capturing fleeting moments from the world onto canvas. Zoe Anker, on the other hand, merges silk screen printing with her deep passion for contrasting colours, geometric shapes, layering, and mark making to craft distinctive and captivating forms.

The full list of galleries and artists, along with a preview of some of the work which will be available to buy, can be seen on the Manchester Art Fair website.

Featuring alongside this year’s impressive line-up will be an extended programme of high-profile talks, immersive experiences, and workshops.  Details of this year’s speakers are being kept under wraps for now, although organisers have teased that the programme will feature some of the most notable names from the world of art, music and culture to date, including more than one Northern first.

The Manchester Contemporary, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England and curated by Nat Pitt from Division of Labour will return alongside Manchester Art Fair widening the breadth of art to discover. A collegiate fair for young galleries, artist-led spaces, charitable organisations, and partner institutions, it provides a critically engaged environment for artistic exploration and development.

Manchester Art Fair will open at Manchester Central with an exclusive preview night on Friday 15 November from 5-9pm and continues on Saturday 16th (10am-6pm) and Sunday 17th (10am – 4pm).  Advance ticket prices start from £12 plus booking fee.

Tickets go live at 10am on September 5th at manchesterartfair.co.uk/tickets.
