KFC is giving Mancunians an extra bite of its 11 Herbs & Spices with the opening of its new restaurant on Manchester Piccadilly and after yesterday’s derby, they’ve launched two exclusive buckets so fans can celebrate or commiserate with the Colonel’s finest.

For the Red Devils flapping their feathers with joy, or the Cityzens hoping to find solace in fried chicken, KFC is offering the perfect opportunity to show loyalty to the clubs with 200 limited edition buckets available for the first time in team stripes – red or blue. The buckets will be available in restaurant for takeaway, for those out on essential journeys and key workers in Piccadilly looking for a quick bite.

And if chicken lovers at home need another excuse to tuck into the Original Recipe flavour, KFC is offering £10 off for new users with Uber Eats using the code KFC10OFF for the first week of opening.

Key workers in the Piccadilly area can also enjoy an ongoing 25% discount for all Blue Light Card holders and 15% off for Network Rail workers from the nearby Piccadilly Station.

“Opening our latest KFC restaurant in Manchester the day after the derby, it felt only right to mark the occasion in true Manc style, creating limited edition buckets to bring fried chicken joy to our Red and Blue fans across the city.”

(Simon Jones, Head of Equity Operations at KFC UK & Ireland)

The opening of the latest coop has created 37 jobs in the local area.

A number of responsibility measures have been put in place, including extended hygiene procedures, Perspex screens, gloves, and designated kitchen zones. Our team wear face masks where required, and encourage guests to do the same. Contactless payment is encouraged.

KFC Manchester Piccadilly is open from today and available via takeaway, delivery and mobile ordering on the KFC App.
