Roads around Droylsden are now open after an earlier incident in which a suspect WW2 device was found.
Shortly before 8am today police were called to Edge Lane in Droylsden to reports that a suspected historic device had been found.
A 100m cordon had been put in place while EOD made an assessment of the device which hadbeen uncovered by builders.
It is understood the device was an empty shell case
