Four men have been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today in connection with the events in Piccadilly Gardens on Saturday
Andrew Phillips aged 27 of Ripon Crescent, Stretford, has been charged with violent disorder and assault.
Liam Ryan aged 28 of Thirkleby Royd, Bradford, has been charged with violent disorder.
David Green aged 41 of Hamilton Street, Stalybridge, has been charged with violent disorder and Shaun Holt aged 42 of Oak Road, Stockport, has been charged with violent disorder and assault.
A 30-year-old man from Stockport was arrested yestrday afternoonon suspicion of violent disorder. He remains in police custody.
