48-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being g hit by a car in East Didsbury yesterday evening
The driver remained at the scene and a 40-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody for further questioning.
The incident happened around 5.00pm at the junction of Kingsway (A34) and Wilmslow Road (A5145) in East Didsbury.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision. Particularly, anyone travelling the junction of Kingsway (A34) and Parrs Wood Lane (A5145) between 4:45pm and 5:10pm.
