One man was discovered with minor injuries to his head on Ainthorpe Walk, while no injuries were reported on Ballantine Street.

Detective Inspector Mark Hodgson, of our City of Manchester Criminal Investigation Department, said: “Our investigation is progressing and we have arrested one man in connection with these firearms discharges.

“Officers have taken proactive action through additional patrols and are following multiple lines of enquiry. We will continue to have a presence in the area so please speak to our officers if you have any concerns.
