A 31-year-old man remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and aggravated vehicle taking.
Police in Tameside spotted the car after it had been stolen yesterday was stolen from Waterloo Gardens in Tameside and followed it for around 10 minutes into Manchester city centre before it was stopped on Manchester New Road.
The driver was also wanted by another force for breaching a restraining order.
