A 23 year old man has died of his injuries four days after a road accident in Gorton on Monday has died four days later in hospital police have confirmed.

The accident happened on Mount Road around 11.30om

It is believed that two cars were travelling northbound and collided on Mount Road at the junction of Balmoral Street. A Black Vauxhall Insignia containing two occupants, attempts a manoeuvre when it was struck on it’s offside by a Silver Vauxhall Crossland with a black roof.

The passenger of the Vauxhall Insignia – a passed away on Thursday despite the best attempts of emergency services personnel.

Two males who were in the car, aged 24 and 30, have now been released from hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life changing.

At this moment in time no arrests have been made.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments leading up to and before the collision took place.
