A man has been charged with terror offences following a frenzied attack on passengers at Victoria Metrolink station on New Year’s Eve.
Mahdi Mohamud, aged 25, previously of the Cheetham Hill area, was charged yesterday with three counts of attempted murder and one count contrary to Section 58 (1) (a), TACT 2000 which relates to the possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday 12 June 2019.
