a 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear.
It follows an incident in Oldham at the weekend when shots were fired twice into the driver’s window of a vehicle on Broadbent Road
He remains in custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Kathryn Lester, from GMP’s Oldham district, said: “We’re aware this incident caused some concern in the community as a number of people reported to have heard the noise where a shotgun was suspected to have been used.
“Extensive enquiries have been on-going since the incident which is being treated as isolated and deliberate this time. Finding out exactly what happened and who was responsible has been our priority since it happened and today’s arrest is a huge step forward in getting those answers.
