£2.2bn-turnover contractor ISG has filed for administration putting almost 2,400 jobs at risk including some in the region joint administrators EY have announced

The company, which has a site at MediaCity in Salford closed its offices and sites earlier this morning after a refinancing deal in the US collapsed

It is expected to be the biggest casualty in the sector since Carillion collapsed in 2018.

The Company was involved in a number of Government projects including the building of new schools and in the North West the £13 million, 114-bed Corn Exchange hotel project and the £39 million mixed-use hotel and student accommodation regeneration scheme at Liverpool Lime Street.
