A 21 year old man has been killed after being hit by a car on the M56 near Sharston in the early hours of this morning.
The accident happened after the pedestrian was hit by black Jaguar XF saloon and a pedestrian near to junction 2 of the eastbound carriageway at Sharston Link just after 1.00am.
The man sustained multiple injuries and sadly died a short time later in hospital.
PC Neil Pennington, from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the man walking between the slip road and the first lane of the carriageway, or anyone with dash-cam footage, to please get in touch.
“Sadly this collision has resulted in a young man losing his life and our thoughts are with his family at this terrible time.”
