A brand new ‘trapbox’ bar and restaurant concept, 202 Kitchen, has announced it will open in Manchester.

Situated on Bridge Street, 202 Kitchen will open officially on Friday 21st August, bringing with it deliciously indulgent food and an enclosed outdoor area designed for all-weather occasions, all set against an Instagrammable backdrop.

Having already successfully launched its first restaurant in Birmingham earlier this year, 202 Kitchen will look to breathe new life into the city.

Serving ‘trapbox’ cuisine, a relatively new foodie concept seeing colourful cultural foods such as mac’n’cheese, waffles, fried chicken, burgers, and grilled seafood piled into a box.

Trapbox has become an increasingly popular trend, starting out with untrained cooks showing off their food via social media and establishing a following and loyal customer base. There are Trapbox home chefs all over the UK, with one of the most famous being Prince Owusu, who was featured on BBC 2’s Million Pound Menu.

Alongside the ‘trapbox’ kitchen offering, 202 Kitchen will also offer an extensive cocktail and drinks menu full of exciting wines, beers and spirits.

In keeping with social distancing guidelines, 202 Kitchen will also operate a COVID-secure operation, creating a comfortable and safe environment for guests to socialise responsibly.

The vibrant interiors of 202 Kitchen will see the eatery decked out almost entirely in bright pink, complete with sheltered outside space.

202 Kitchen will officially open on Bridge Street, Manchester, on Friday 21st August.
