A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and burglary following a robbery in Urmston last week and remains in custody.
A man stormed a shop on Woodsend Road, armed with a hand gun and an axe and made threats towards staff before fleeing the scene with alcohol and tobacco.
PC Oliver Batty GMP’s Trafford district, said: “I would like to thank everyone who has come forward to police with information following this incident.
“We have been working tirelessly and thanks to the quick work of our officers, and support from members of the public – we have made an arrest.
