British Transport Police officers investigating an assault on board a train in Manchester have released this CCTV image in connection.
At around 2.30pm on Thursday 28 August, on board an Avanti train at Manchester Piccadilly railway station, a man rushed past a mother and her daughter, before returning and assaulting the two women.
He held the young woman by the throat before punching the mother who attempted to intervene.
The man then left the train and ran to board another service on a different platform.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation.
