A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after police found 160 bags of cocaine and heroin, a large amount of cash and a mobile phone during an early morning raid in Collyhurst

The boy who cannot be named for legal reasons had been charged with multiple offences including possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property, and has been remanded into custody following a court appearance.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Heaton, from GMP’s City of Manchester North Challenger team, said: “Challenger is committed to tackling organised crime across Greater Manchester and this type of work is going on every day.

“The action taken this week will send out a strong message that dealing drugs is simply not acceptable and we are coming after people involved in those supply lines.

“We rely on intelligence reports from the public and every day we are working to investigate criminal behaviour and make arrests, also taking criminals and drugs off the streets of our city.
