Police searching for missing 22 year old Caspar Blackburn have found the body of a man in a canal in Sale this morning.
The discovery was made shortly after 10am near to Springfield Road.
Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances which led to the man’s death however, it is not believed to be suspicious.
Detective Inspector Julia Bowden said: “Sadly, today we have found the body of a man in the canal and enquiries into the circumstances of his death are ongoing.
“The man’s family are aware and we are offering them support at this extremely difficult time.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal and supported our investigation.”
