Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show, the Manchester edition of the UK’s leading and longest-running travel exhibition, is set for the biggest event to date, with a host of new exhibitors, experiences and expert speakers. The show is set to provide visitors with unlimited inspiration for their travels in 2019.

With over 170 travel companies exhibiting at EventCity, Manchester from 17th – 20th January, an array of travel experts from leading tour operators, tourist boards and travel companies will be on hand to provide visitors with travel inspiration.

The show will open its doors to over 30 new exhibitors including: Titan Travel, Flight Centre, India Tourist Board, Travelbag, Polar Routes and Discover Yorkshire.

Inspiration will be provided at the ‘Meet the Experts Theatre’ with hours of free, yet invaluable travel advice from key speakers – including Ordnance Survey GetOutside Champion and adventurer Matthew Kettlewell – who will share some of their own fascinating travel stories.

Habitat for Humanity, the show’s official charity is one of the world’s largest housing charities.  They will be informing and inspiring people to volunteer and support a range of home building and community projects – to make a real, tangible difference.  Talking on voluntourism they will be advising on the best way for people to support local communities when travelling.

The ‘Food & Travel Stage’, sponsored by Viking, will return to this year’s show. Bringing together expert chefs and a host of explorers and TV personalities including adventure, journalist and presenter Pip Stewart, chef and keen caravanner Monica Rivron, Ordnance Survey GetOutside Champions, Anna Hughes, and Emma Brennand, who will share their stories and inspire visitors to get outside and discover more. Visitors will also learn how to prepare and cook camp side meals as well as international delicacies and enjoy exotic cultural displays and performances to inspire their next holiday adventures.

To ensure visitors are prepared when travelling overseas, the show will feature the MASTA (Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad) Travel Health Clinic, led by television doctor, Dr James Logan and a team of expert nurses who will be able to advise visitors on any holiday health concerns.

Led by professional photographer Steve Davey, visitors can discover how to capture those breath-taking views and memorable travel moments in dedicated Travel Photography Masterclasses. From an introduction to photography to shooting travel portraits participants will learn a range of tips and techniques. Classes are small, hence subject to availability, and are priced from £25 which includes entry to the show.
