After selling out in less than a week, Yoga Social Club has announced an additional morning date for its highly anticipated International Women’s Day celebration, giving more women the chance to take part in the unique yoga and live music experience at Hallé St Peter’s.

The first International Women’s Day Yoga + String Quartet event sold out in days, with a second session now released on Saturday 7th March 2026, 9:30–11:30am, following overwhelming demand from the local community.

The two-hour immersive experience combines 50 minutes of breathwork and yoga set to live music from the Manchester String Quartet, performing works by female composers and artists like Beyoncé, Celine Dion and all the iconic female artists in music. This is then followed by one hour of relaxed networking with refreshments in the stunning surroundings of Hallé St Peter’s in Ancoats.

The session will be led by Christina Whittingham, founder of Yoga Social Club, whose events are designed to bring people together through movement, music and meaningful connection.

Christina Whittingham said: “We were absolutely blown away by how quickly the first event sold out. International Women’s Day clearly means so much to so many people, and we didn’t want anyone to miss out so by popular request, we’re adding an extra morning date to celebrate together.

“This event isn’t just about yoga. It’s about creating space to pause, breathe, connect and celebrate women in a really uplifting and joyful way, all while being surrounded by beautiful live music.”

Christina added: “Whether you come with friends or on your own, you’ll leave feeling connected, energised and part of something really special.”

The International Women’s Day Yoga + String Quartet experience offers a powerful yet accessible way to mark the weekend, welcoming participants of all abilities and yoga experience levels.

The additional International Women’s Day date follows a string of sell-out successes for Yoga Social Club, including last year’s hugely successful International Women’s Day event, which also reached full capacity, and a series of sold-out Christmas wellness and social events across Greater Manchester. The continued demand highlights the growing appetite for experiences that combine wellbeing, music and meaningful social connection.

This latest announcement also comes during a period of rapid growth for Yoga Social Club. What began as a small community focused concept has expanded into a much wider network of classes and events led by trained community leaders, with sessions now running across 30+ areas throughout Manchester, the North West and the UK.

By partnering with local instructors and community hosts, Yoga Social Club has been able to scale while staying true to its original mission and creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where people can move, connect and build real friendships through shared experiences.

With momentum continuing to build and demand increasing for its signature social-wellness events, the added International Women’s Day date reflects not only the popularity of the celebration, but also the strength and reach of the Yoga Social Club community as it continues to grow into 2026.
